Timeless Transport moves classic, prestige and collector cars from West Sussex to anywhere in the UK, on an enclosed trailer when the car deserves it and an open one when it does not. Every car is strapped at the wheels, tracked by live GPS and photographed at both ends, and the person who quotes the job is the person who turns up. For classic car delivery anywhere in the UK the date is agreed in advance and the mileage is priced in. Call 01403 458457, WhatsApp us or use the contact form for a quote.
Who we are
We are a small West Sussex transport firm, not a brokerage that sells your move on to whichever driver is free.
That matters more with a classic than with anything else we carry. An old car has quirks: a door that needs lifting to shut, a handbrake that does not hold, a fuel tap, a battery isolator, a sill that must not be jacked. On a job that goes through a broker, that information gets lost between the person who took the booking and the person who turns up. Here it does not, because they are the same person. You tell us once, at the quote, and the person who heard it is the one strapping the car down.
Sussex is where most of our classic work starts or finishes, from the Volvo Amazon and Mercedes 190 that have been on the trailer recently to the Ferrari that travelled in the enclosed trailer. Where the other end is does not matter much. See enclosed transport for the covered trailer and open transport for the Brian James T6.

Open or enclosed
Enclosed is the right answer for anything rare, valuable, freshly painted or simply private. Inside the covered trailer the car is protected from weather, stone chips and road grime for the whole journey, and nobody at the services knows what is in there. It carries vehicles up to 2.3 tonnes, which covers most classics, sports cars and prestige saloons.
Open transport on the Brian James T6 is the honest recommendation more often than people expect. A sound, usable classic travelling forty miles on a dry day does not need a covered trailer, and the loading, strapping and handling are identical. It takes vehicles up to 2.8 tonnes, so the heavier classics and the big saloons go this way regardless.
We will tell you which one we would choose for your car, and we will say so even when it is the cheaper option, because a customer who feels upsold does not ring twice.
How it is done
Low ramps first. A lot of classics sit lower than a modern car and a standard ramp angle will ground a front valance or an exhaust. We load on low ramps and walk the car up rather than rushing it.
Strapped at the wheels, never the bodywork. Wheel straps hold the car by its tyres and let the suspension do its job on the road, so nothing is pulling on a chassis leg, a bumper mount or a fifty year old sill. We check every strap again before we move and again at the first stop.
Non-runners are winched, slowly, with someone at the wheel where the steering still works. Barn finds, part-finished restorations and cars that have not turned a wheel in a decade are a normal booking rather than a special one, and we would rather know at the quote so we allow the time.
Photographed at collection and again at delivery, tracked by live GPS in between. If a car is worth moving carefully it is worth being able to prove how it was moved.

Where
Classic car transport is priced per job and quoted on the phone, so the honest answer to the cost question is: tell us the car, where it is and where it is going. What sets the price is the distance, open or enclosed, and whether the car runs. Recovery is a Sussex service, because it is limited by how quickly we can reach you. Planned classic car transport across the UK is not. The date is agreed in advance and the mileage is priced in, so a collection from an auction in the Midlands, a delivery to a specialist in the North, or a car bought online in Scotland and brought home to Chichester are all normal jobs.
Around Sussex itself we move classics between homes, restorers, paint shops, storage and shows across Chichester, Petworth, Midhurst, Horsham, Worthing, Brighton and Haywards Heath, and the villages in between. If you are on the coast or in the Weald and you have a car that needs moving without being driven, that is exactly the work this trailer exists for.
Tell us what the car is, where it is and where it needs to be. Call 01403 458457 or WhatsApp a photo of it, and you will have a straight answer and a price.
Questions
If it is rare, valuable, freshly restored or you simply do not want it seen, enclosed. For a solid daily-use classic on a dry day, open transport on the Brian James T6 is the more economical option and the car is strapped and handled exactly the same way. Tell us what it is and we will give you an honest steer, even when that is the cheaper one. There is a longer guide to open or enclosed for a classic car.
Yes. Barn finds, project cars and anything with seized brakes are winched on gently rather than driven on. Tell us when you book so we bring the right kit and allow the time.
Strapped at the wheels, never by the bodywork, chassis or suspension, and checked again before we move. Low cars go up low ramps so nothing grounds.
Yes. Live GPS tracking runs on every move, and we photograph the vehicle at collection and again at delivery so you have a record of its condition at both ends.
No. We are based in West Sussex and collect or deliver anywhere in the UK, door to door. Sussex is where most of our classic work starts or finishes, but a car bought at auction in Yorkshire and delivered to Chichester is a normal job.
It depends on the distance, the trailer and whether the car runs, and we would rather give you a real number than a webpage guess. Call 01403 458457, WhatsApp us or use the contact form, tell us what the car is and where it is going, and you will have a price with no obligation.
